I’ve got a client (you know who you are) that generates a lot of reports. All in Excel. They spend about 24 computer hours each night accumulating data, calculating data, and then spitting out that data into Excel files for their clients. We use Excel automation to generate each and everyone of those reports because, frankly, we didn’t know any better.
Now we do.
Thanks to Christoph’s “Excelporting” session, I’m now aware of XMLSS, an XML schema for Excel files that’s been around for 7 years! This session was a fantastic introduction to this file format and all of its features (and quirks). Christoph is a fantastic and knowledgeable speaker.
