Salty Dog Solutions, LLC Merges with Geeks and Gurus, Inc.

(Today, I sent this letter to my clients)

I am very excited to tell you that Salty Dog Solutions, LLC, is being acquired by Geeks and Gurus, Inc..

Before you panic, let me assure you that from your perspective nothing will change except the name. I will still be the person you call when you need some work done, the rates won’t go up, and my current email will continue to reach me. I will still be in Madison in my current office.

What will change is that you now have assurance that somebody will be there if I’m not available, on vacation, or the worst happens. As part of the Geeks and Gurus team I will have access to a network of people and training to keep my skills up-to-date. Better yet, we will now have the capacity to take on larger projects that I just couldn’t tackle before.

These changes will officially occur on July 1st, 2011. All of our current contracts can stay in force until their end dates are reached, at which time a continuation with the new name can be drawn up.

Geeks and Gurus, Inc, was formed in 2000 by my colleague Steve Bodnar. Steve and I have known each other professionally for most of those years and I was honored when he asked me to join his team. Besides developing software, Steve also specializes in providing A/V equipment for conferences all over the country. Geeks and Gurus, Inc., has offices in Michigan and Virginia. Look for an introductory letter from Steve soon. You can find out more about them at their website: http://www.geeksandgurus.com/

This is an exciting direction for me, and I thank you for your continued support. If you’d like to get together to discuss future projects please give me a call at (608) 213-9567.

As always, thanks for your support!
